Imp of Perverse

Imp of Perverse is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist and home-recording wizard Sean Lochridge. While perhaps best known as a drummer, from his current gigs with Sherry and Om Wahs and past ones with π and the Halfways, with Imp of Perverse he displays notable genius in both musicianship and songwriting with a project that blends psychedelia with all manners of indie rock stylings. Bits and chunks of bands ranging from the Flaming Lips and Smashing Pumpkins, to Yo La Tengo and Dinosaur Jr. can be found in the teeth of the Imp’s gleaming, crooked grin. You could spend your entire life pulling his music apart and finding new things, sinking further and further down into the rabbit hole. Is it the wisest choice? Who knows. Is it the choice you’re compelled to make?
